Job Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers, scanners, and POS systems accurately.

• Process payments (cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers) and issue receipts.

• Ensure accuracy when giving change and handling transactions.

• Provide excellent customer service and resolve basic queries.

• Assist customers with bagging, returns, or price checks when required.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area.

• Report any discrepancies, errors, or technical issues to supervisors.

• Support colleagues during peak hours to ensure smooth store operations.

• Follow company procedures on compliance, safety, and loss prevention.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cashier or in retail/supermarket roles preferred, but not mandatory.

• Basic math skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to learn Portuguese (training support may be provided).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy hours.

• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Honest, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.
